"Flying & Invisible" Followers glitch

Hey guys,

I've been scouring the net looking for a fix for these issues, but have only found other people with the same problem so far.

What I'm encountering is twofold: Firstly, upon entering some new cells, seemingly at random, my followers will suddenly begin "flying" with their legs spread and feet spastically spinning around as though they were riding an invisible horse. I thought maybe this was a glitch due to installing "Convenient Horses" but disabling/uninstalling didn't help, and there's another guy out there with the same problem using a 100% vanilla game, so it's not the mods. Here's a link to a video showing EXACTLY what's going on:

Secondly, and this isn't really a game breaker but can be kind of annoying, sometimes my followers completely disappear. What I mean is, they're actually still "there", as in I can open dialogues, there's still collision, etc. but the models are invisible, and sometimes the audio cuts out with an audible "POP" when they speak. Usually just leaving that cell fixes the issue, sometimes it doesn't.

This happens with both standard and standalone NPC followers, so I can surmise that it's not something to do with any modding I'm doing, but I could be wrong.

I've done all the troubleshooting I can think to do, (disabling mods, etc.) and I can't seem to pinpoint the issue.

Anyone got any ideas? Thoughts? Solutions? Links? Would anyone like a mint?

First dont't uninstall scripted mod like Convenient Horses in midgame. it gets the situation much worse.

You can try and I said try to kill the follower and use the resurrect command (take the objects of the follower

cause resurrect reset the inventory of the target).

This work on essential follower too.

You can try to save, kill you character maybe using the kill comand and load this save.

Greetings!

Oh Hell no, I made sure to follow the author's instructions for uninstalling to the LETTER, and then used a save game cleaner to get rid of the orphans, but it obviously wasn't the problem which is good, because I LOVE CONVENIENT HORSES :)

OK I'll try the kill/resurrect option the next time this happens. It's actually been quite a while since it's occured, but I know that it's only a matter of time. Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know how it goes!

Could be an animation problem. Delete the animations in your data folder if there are any.

If you're running any animation packs that require FNIS make sure you ran the program.

I've used Convenient Horses me too. Is a great mod. I only said to uninstall simply uncheck the mod

in the Skyrim launcher. In this way you poor save doesn't found the script.

Anyway have you find a solution ?

I don't know if Convenient Horses or Ultimate Follower Overhaul causes this but when I recently

tried merging UFO, the followers started doing strange things such as 'going home' without me telling them too and doing that 'flying glitch' where they turn invisible

like you mentioned. When I reinstalled UFO the proper way, the problem was fixed. But if

it's not UFO, I don't know what's causing your problem.

This was happening right from the get-go for me, so I think it was just a coincidence I started noticing it after installing CH. It happens completely at random, and doesn't seem to matter which cell I'm in. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, there's no real set of circumstances where it gets triggered, same thing with the invisible followers.

I'm going to keep digging and see what I can find, because I know I'm not the only one dealing with this...

The problem is, I keep finding other people with the same issues, but no fixes yet!

Still nothing, just other people with the same problem(s).

It's not THAT big a deal, but it gets kind of annoying when your followers are flying ten feet above your head and having a seizure.

The "Invisible" glitch seemed to just be with my standalone follower, but since has graduated to the vanilla ones as well as actual objects in the game itself.

Who knows, it could be something as simple as load order in MO, but I've tweaked the hell out of it and done a LOT of testing, so I don't see how that could be the case.

I really don't want to have to go through 200+ mods to see what's happening, mostly because I'm 100% positive this isn't a mod issue, as the guy in the YouTube video was having the EXACT same issue with a completely vanilla game, no DLC or any mods at all.

I might just have to learn to put up with it.
