Smooth613: Huh, I wonder what I did wrong then... Would Windows 7 64-bit have something to do with this? I tried opening the Cells and part of the left side of my screen went black, like it stopped drawing.

This is a brilliant little file, however it still hasn't fixed an annoying bug. Now i am not sure if this is just me but everytime i change an NPC into a custom race there face textures do not line up correctly. Is anyone else having this bug? if so is there anyway to fix it as it is making me re-do every NPC for my mod.

@ shaun 919: I know what you're talking about. I remember i found a way to get rid of that but I can't remember how I did it. I think it had something to do with editing the face texture then switching over to the third person view before exiting the character box. I don't know if that alone will work but i remember that had something to do with it.

Hi everybody,
for some reason I can't get this extended version of the CS to work, but I can't see what I am doing wrong:
When I start up my CS, I just see the unchanged CS, with none of the new features showing up (e.g. the script editor is still the same).
So my questions are:
1.) Is there any way to check whether the extended version is present at all? In the "Help" >> "About" window I still see the regular version info (Version 1.2.404)
2.) Are there any system requirements I am unaware of (e.g. some specific .NET or JRE/JDK version or whatever?) I am running Win XP, by the way?
3.) Did I install correctly?
This is what I did, according to the readme:
1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the contents to Oblivion's folder.
--> did so
2. Extract Construction Set v1.0’s executable into the game’s root directory and rename it as ‘TESConstructionSetOld.exe’.
--> I renamed my existing TESConstructionSet.exe, which is version 1.2.404, not 1.0
3. Open the ‘ConstructionSet.ini’ file in your ‘Documents\My Games\Oblivion’ directory and set the ‘bAllowMultipleEditors’ key’s value to ‘1’.
--> did so.
As I was unsure whether the extended version actually needs version 1.0 of the original CS, and not 1.2.404, I also downloaded the older version and replaced my TESConstructionSetOld.exe with it, but the problem is still the same.
Any help appreciated!

I am having the same problem as you jaime74, installed new script extender and installed as per instructions but both versions of CS are still the same im using vista64bit with SI installed. i have no idea which version of the editor(maybe both 1&1.2?)is changed. i am using an original version of oblivion(non steam)

@jaime74
Construction Set Extender requires OBSE v.>= 0020, which means that CS needs to have access to OBSE. Extracted from obse.readme:
Scripts written with these new commands must be written via the TESConstructionSet launched with obse_loader. Open a command prompt window, navigate to your oblivion install folder, and type "obse_loader -editor". The normal editor can open plugins with these extended scripts fine, it just can't recompile them and will give errors if you try...
and it will not support Construction Set Extender.
Run CS via obse_loader -editor.

I've tried what was said below, and still nothing.
It does look like all of us have something in common then - CSE must not work properly on a 64-bit OS. would someone pass this on to him over at Beth's forums?
EDIT: Did it myself
