Don't worry, bben46 will post here, and tell you that you are a Pirate, and that he will not help you. Simply because you don't know how to properly install mods. That's what he told me.

@ bohatir, I do not think that is quite fair, and he is not the only person on the forum.
@ packers890, please look at the thread where bohatir just asked the same question. Does any of this help you? If not, please let us know.

Yes you are correct, but it is absolutely fair to call me a Pirate

Most likely : You have installed steam and the game in the UAC protected 'program files' folder where UAC tries to block any changes.
Recommendation: Reinstall the steam client outside of the program files. I use C:\Games\Steam - that way all steam games will be ignored by UAC.
@bohatir - go back and read exactly what I posted. I do not accuse people of being pirates - If I believe someone is a pirate, I ban them.
Your pics of where you installed your game did not show it being installed under steam - NV has problems if it is not under steam as it was DESIGNED to use steam. Your NV folder is under your FO3 folder - which is where some pirated versions are placed. If you use a legitimate version, it doesn't put it there unless you change the install path. I gave you the benefit of doubt. There are many reasons why mods don't work. A pirated version is one.

I'm having the same problem but only some of my mods aren't working. Some show up in the Fallout Mod Manager and under the Data Files, but other ones don't.
I'm running New Vegas through Steam and was planning on uninstalling Steam and moving it somewhere else like bben46 said but would I have to reinstall every game I have through Steam after that?
