Mod Packs?

I'm honestly sick and tired of reinstalling Skyrim and incrementally adding all mods just to see if it isn't CTDing only to find out that it still does but at random times.

I wonder why there are no user-created CTD-free mod packs that you can download, extract and then use right away.

I gave up on playing Skyrim cause the modding made me insane and now that I know that there are mods, vanilla just won't cut it lol.

Firstly, it is against the Terms of Service of the site. "Do not upload compilations of other users work irrespective of whether the authors of the work you would like to compile together have agreed to your using their work in your compilation."

Secondly, would be getting the permissions from the original mod authors.

Thirdly, it is against the Terms of Service of this site. "All files uploaded must have been created by the uploader or used with permission from the original author of the content."

Have you tried MO? It makes it so much easier.

And are sure you have a conflict free load order, clean esms, ssme, enboost, small load order?

I tried everything, even with a few mods or just one (PerMa) properly installed it still CTDs randomly.

Fair enough.

Because CTD means too much stuff installed. A potato will CTD faster.

+ mods exist to stop CTDs, use em.

Good advice.

Modpacks make it easier to get into modding, and/or let you bypass modding completely and just jump straight into modded gameplay. They are, however, a pain in the rear end when it comes to moral issues. Communities seriously devolve when mods are shoved into mod packs against the will of the mod creators. (really, go look at the Minecraft modding communities; there are two and they want to kill each other)

Consider it a blessing that it's against the ToS here, and that the ToS is actually enforced.

Try using the S.T.E.P guide. It takes forever but you have close to a guarantee that your game will be stable.

I will look into that, thanks.

did u use skse mempatch by sheson ?

i never get CTD with mid-range PC and 200+ mods, i also use perma, read the PcaPP faq about load order, it helped me a lot :D

Yup I had that aswell, with a correct load order.
