Full vocalization would greatly enhance this mod. If modder's tools do not help you to do that, it would be possible (but incredibly time consuming and difficult) to take speech segments from the characters from scenes through out the adventure and piece together dialouge.
This entire thing can be a video segment, or the return to the ashes could be a sort of quest to take place from the perspective of the companions, ending with another video segment as returning to resurect the main character.

Yes, I can see that. The problem is the lack of options the game fives you in the ending. It's either you die, Alistair dies, or Alistair has sex with Morrigan who you thought to be your friend. I mean, how about Riordan's body? Stab the demon using his arms (lol). Cut off the dragon's wings or something and wait for the orlesian grey warden elder to come. Take a sample of blood and channel the Archdemon's spirit from that. I mean, i could think of a dozen more if I really thought about it. I understand the sacrificial part to the ending, but they already offer a way out with the grey warden child. So its just making the options more varied.
I take it you only play female characters? I've never played one so not sure if Morrigan wouldn't offer herself to a female warden at the end of the game. You have the option of bedding Morrigan and not dying and slaying the archdemon. I actually didn't know that Alistair dying or having sex with Morrigan were options. I've always bedded her to save myself.

If you don't play a man, you obviously CAN'T get Morrigan pregnant lol. She doesn't really care who gets her pregnant though, it's either a male Warden, Alistair or Loghain.

Well, if all you want is a way to refuse Morrigan the DR and still have both Alistair and your Warden survive (happily?) ever after, it CAN be done.If you don't play a man, you obviously CAN'T get Morrigan pregnant lol. It requires using the Console Command "runscript zz_addparty..." at the appropriate point on the rooftop of Fort Drakon. (I'll let you figure out which previously executed NPC to add!

Yes, I play only femal characters. It seperates you slightly from your character, but still able to emerse yourself from a new perspective. It comes from playing male characters so much on other games. I also understand that you can bed with Morrigan, or have Alistair do so. The problem is that there are so many solutions to the problem that bioware didn't think of, and most of them are preferable. I play my games so that I stick with my character's personality all the way through. None of the options really fit my character, so I died.
I heard that if Logaihn joins the party, Alistair leaves,. That wouldn't work, and Logain isn't a Grey Warden, so him bedding with Morrigan wouldn't work either. Of course, if it were possible to make Grey Wardens out of your companions as they do in Awakening, that would also solve the issue. I can't remember if the old Archdemon blood can be found in the Denerim stockpile or not...
I love dragon age because of the emmersion and possible plot lines, but I hate it because of its limitations. Wizardry 8 came out like 1996 or something and had more options. Heck you could type random stuff to the characters and they would respond.

I, unfortunately, do not know how to mod newer games, only older simpler ones. And barely at that. Also, I wasn't really looking for a way of avoiding the game's plotline as much as wishing to obtain more options through the game. It's a slight difference, I know, but I find it difficult to emmerse myself if I die in Origins and import my character into Awakening. And if anyone doesn't have a mod they're working on and is interested, this could be a good project to work on... Who doesn't want more options, more emmersion?
