I tried dropping it into the bioware package core overdrive folder and then I tried dragging it into DOA mod manager's installed overdrive section but it keeps saying that it's not an overdrive.
What am I doing wrong? PLEASE HELP!

Welcome, shyprincess!Hi I'm new to Dragon Age and I just downloaded some mods that required me to override it but I can't figure out how the override folder is supposed to work.
I tried dropping it into the bioware package core overdrive folder and then I tried dragging it into DOA mod manager's installed overdrive section but it keeps saying that it's not an overdrive.
What am I doing wrong? PLEASE HELP!
Easy error, since the same word is used for two different things here. You are confusing the FOLDER named "override" with the file type "xxx.override". When the instructions for a mod say "put it in your override folder", that means the folder: "C\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override".
If a mod is of the file type "xxx.override", then DAO-Modmanager can handle it appropriately. (DAMM can also handle regular ".dazip" files, but that's another issue.)
For LOTS more help understanding DA mods, see the Wiki article here: "Using DA Mods for Dummies".

Thanks for the welcome.
I tried exactly what you said but it doesn't work. The file doesn;t have a "xxx.overdride" but I did click and drag it into my C:\"user's documents"\Bioware\Dragon Age\package\core\override but it still doesn't work...

So, what mod is it? And did you "uncompress" it first? Thanks for the welcome.
