From Blender 2.49 to 2.74

Since not much modders use Blender 2.74 as a primary programme for importing/exporting models I thought that you/me might make a model in Blender 2.74 (since it is better than 2.49),export the model into the Blender 2.49,and from there,export it to .nif file to Skyrim.Im pretty much now noob when it comes to Blender,but I hope you guys understood what I wanted to say,and tell me if it would work or not.By the way,I just woke up,so my English might not be perfect,but I think you guys might understood what I wanted to say.
