In Skryim you're gonna play as the next Dragonborn. Now I don't know a whole lot of the lore of TES, so does this mean it's a possibility that the player in TESV could be anointed emperor? Because AFAIK all Dragonborn are members of the Septim family.
Just food for thought.

Yeah, some of the others on the nexus have a theory about that. They say martin probably pulled a uriel on somebody.

In Skyrim the title Dragonborn is "given by the Nine Divines to favored subjects", thereby allowing any person or race to become Emperor.

If one were to stick to lore, then a Dremora wouldn't get the title. But, yeah, I know what you mean, and it will happen.
