GamerDude092
I'm almost finished with my mod that adds a large expansion to a city. During testing some of my NPCs don't show up at all. I've tested the mod with my numerous saves. Which NPCs vanish seems to depend on what character I'm using. But I know testing with existing characters is not the right practice. So I've created a save with a new character specifically for testing the mod and saved before the mod is installed for a fresh start each time I test it. But the problem still happens. This is something I can work around but It'd be nice if somebody smarter than me could explain why this is happening.
bls61793
Hi Gamer, Not sure how much help I can be, but I can try. I have a two preliminary questions: Do you have a clean and checked Navmesh in the area that you are placing your NPCs? And are the NPC's disappearing at runtime (while playing the game), or do they appear in the editor but not in the game at all?
GamerDude092
Hi Gamer, Not sure how much help I can be, but I can try. And are the NPC's disappearing at runtime (while playing the game), or do they appear in the editor but not in the game at all?I've Navmeshed the area I placed them and found cover edges and finalized the navmesh each time I'm done making changes. I'm not sure if checking them is important or not so I didn't make it a priority. The npcs are there in the editor but not in game at all and only happens to random npcs. Which ones vanish changes every time I get the problem. Edited June 27, 2015 by GamerDude092
bls61793
Alright, if you make sure the Mod is loaded properly they should be there if they are in fact enabled. Sorry I'm probably walking you through some obvious steps, but have you made sure that all of your actors are enabled at the start of the game, or at least enabled at the time of trying to look at them? GamerDude092
I actually haven't tried that and I apologize if you feel that I've kept you waiting. The site doesn't seem to be updating the page properly for me therefore I don't see your replies until I refresh the page.
