"A Quality World Map" help?

For this mod, it just won't work for me!

I downloaded the files, extracted them, and placed them in the right folder (manual installation), but it just won't load! I've done this before with the Inigo mod and it worked perfectly, but it won't work for this map mod for some reason.

When I looked in the F.A.Q, it states that, "It will ask you if you want to overwrite the Data folder. Say yes. This will merge the two Data folders together and place my mod with the correct file path within your Skyrim files."

That message never shows up for me. I just put the Data folder in, and that's it. Nothing. No merging at all.

I've been trying to figure this out for a long time, and it's making me really frustrated. Does anyone have any answers?

It sounds like it isn't going to the correct place. If you are adding it in manually make sure of the folder names. If the name of the folder in the mod is "data" then you need to add that to the Skyrim file where the main data folder is. If the mod has .esp, textures, meshes (or .bsa) then you need to open the data folder itself and add it like that.

I downloaded this so I could see the file structure. The main file has many options and not all have a file named data. Once you pick what you want you need to open that file and it will have "textures" inside of it. You then need to open your Skyrim data folder to where your "texture" folder is located and drop it inside of that. It doesn't actually have a file inside named "data" just textures or textures and meshes.

Is this what you did or did you just drop it into Skyrim folder?

Some of the optional folders DO have a data name file and you would simply drop those in AFTER installing the main file. Those would be dropped into the Skyrim folder.

You "extracted" the files to Data folder?

A Quality World Map archive is actually an installer for NMM or Wyre Bash. If you used 7zip/WinRAR to "extract" the files, then none of the files are accessible for the game. Here's a screenshot of the contents of the archive:

If I am correct in my assumption, that these folders are now in your Data folder, the installation is incorrectly done. Manual install would be thus:

-Decide which option you want, according to folder name.

-Open folder that you have decided to use, extract the CONTENTS of the option folder to your Data folder.

All but "Solstheim Map" and "Readme" and "fomod" are for the main map. Chose only one. If you want a quality map for Solstheim as well, extract the CONTENTS of that folder to your Data folder.

If I am incorrectly assuming a misread for installation instructions, please ignore my post.

Good luck! :)
