Meepimus
Hi, I've recently started modding Skyrim and decided to go for the full package (animations, ENBs, models, textures, lighting, extra locations. I've hit a rather strange little bug that I can't seem to fix. After installing the Windstad mine mod, I came across a shadow line bug in a single laction that I can't recreate anywhere else. It's the first forge location when you enter the mine. The first stage of the mine is fully built and furnished as per the mod. Most of the lighting in this 1 location is fine, but there is a strange effect at a certain radius around the light source where shadows go crazily haywire with shadow lines flickering on the surfaces of small objects. I noticed it primarily because of the cheese item on a shelf which seems to be at the perfect distance for this bug to appear. http://i.imgur.com/z9nV8nY.jpg(Standing right next to the radius where the effect occurs) Most of the room if fine, but you can still see the effect on objects at the radius. http://i.imgur.com/bikCU6O.jpg(An image where my character is standing next to the forge, with the distorted items in the background.) I have done quite a bit of testing to try and find the solution to this problem: I moved the items affected and the effect goes away once you take them out of the affecting area. I even took the wedge of cheese to a forge that is outside of the mine (an outdoors area) to see if it interacts this way with another forge... it doesn't. I brought other items to this location and theya re all affected by the bug, but only when I put them near the affected area. I haven't tested any other indoor forges yet to see if it is entirely unique to this location. It seems to be unique to this one forge in this mine though. http://i.imgur.com/9WUtyGe.jpg(Another location in the mine where there is a flickering fire. This one demonstrates no shadow lines) I have never seen any other shadow lines in my games before or since I found this bug. It seems to be isolated to this one location. MODS & MOD INFO. My full mod list is below. I have already tried uninstalling all the graphical and lighting mods to try to fix the problem. The only thing I found that affected the bug was to lower my shadows setting from ultra to low, and all that did was make the flickering shadow lines more smudgy. After looking at a few threads I messed around with my .ini files shadow settings, but nothing that I foudn got rid of the effect. Note: I have tried installing "shadow striping fix" mods, both stanalone and the optional update included in Project ENB. MODS: Winsted MineProject Parallax Remastered vanilla + stonewall and bridge update Project ENB folder for Climates Of Tamriel UPDATEDProject ENB - More dynamic shadows and striping fixed* This makes no difference whether it's installed or not Static Mesh improvment mod Enhanced Lights and FX + ELFX Weathers BETA Skyrim HD 2k Textures - Towns/riften/dungeons/misc Hectrol Caves delux - hi res redux That's about it. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Edited July 4, 2015 by Meepimus
Oubliette
It's the old Shadow Striping bug. Occurs in some locations and not others because of the type of lighting used. Just download one of the fixes and it should clear up.

Also one of my mods in the shown mod list is supposed to be a fix for this kind of bug. Edited July 4, 2015 by Meepimus
