So,since I started modding Skyrim,and I'm pretty noobie,I would need smeone kind of a pro :D
I was wondering if you could make a model/mesh,texture it (in Blender 2.74 since it's better than the old grandpa),and save it some file that Blender 2.49 could run it and then from there export it as a .nif file? Or there is some other solution that could fix exporting/importing models from Blender 2.74 to .nif file ??

i do not like the user interface of the new versions and some other things. but to export models for skyrim, you defenitley need the latest blender versions and nif scripts. do you have installed the nif tools plugin for blender?

you can exchange your models via the OBJ format between the different blender versions! export as obj file and reimport!

How dare you! I find his/her English better than yours!

1st: "But, actually I really don't know what the problem is?"

2nd: "Maybe I've missed your actual question because of your lack of knowledge of proper English."

Anyway, I believe the point isn't to "open old blend files with Blender 2.72" but rather to model things in Blender 2.7+ and export them with Blender 2.49b since the NifTools plugin isn't available for any other version of Blender, AFAIK. I haven't tried that though, thus I cannot answer.

On a side note, your entire contribution was rather bad considering that the official NifTools Wiki discommends the usage of .obj! Instead it is recommended to use a more elaborate file format such as .3ds, which makes complete sense since .obj cannot be used to store information such as bones or animation! Reference

Yea man!! I've done some researches and found out some things, including that exporting to .3ds is better than to .obj.And one more thing, since I see you have some knowledge.I am now confused when it comes to makeing models and texturing them and importing to Skyrim.I don't know what should I do first. Can you help me please ? :D

Or you can just simply save the file as .blend with compatibility for older versions! Got to save file as, and check the option "Legacy Mesh Format". The saved file can be opend in blender 2.49b without any problems (Only keyed data like animations will be lost also make sure you have only tri or quad faces on your meshes)
