Hey all, i had a quick question.

Alright, i met the Bosmer Rangers near the ayleid ruin of Narind. I got the gem, and was rewarded with increased strength and personality for five minutes.

However, i thought that this tied in to the gaining friendship with the animal thing..

So, my question is this:

How do i go about gaining friendship with the animals?

You can get the Sylvian Braided Armour in most of the Ayleid ruins near the border of Valenwood, just east of Anvil.

Narind, where the Heart of the Woods is, is on the edge of Valenwood, directly south and a bit to the east of the town of Kvatch. Check your Fast-Travel map, and it should be clear.

And just casting a charm spell on the animal would defeat the purpose of a quest regarding gaining animal empathy, or trust.

Ok. I don't get you. I just got the gem and now I can wear the armor. There's no [obvious] hint that tells you to talk to animals or anything...

Could it be that I got the armor from Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul?

Do you mean the braided armour? You can get that in any ruin that is inhabited by the Corrupt Rangers.

and.. How much do you know about OOO? lol.. Yes, That is one of the main features of Oscuro's modification, the ability to gain the animals trust, and perhaps, have them fight for you, by doing a Sylvian Ranger quest.
