Wrye Flash Rebuild Patch Problem

Recommended Posts

I have recently installed Wrye Flash for New Vegas and Fallout 3 (I wasn't sure whether the standalone versions still required the python libraries but I installed them anyway).

The issue is that when I go to my bashed patch and rebuild it, the only option ticked is "alias mod names" and nothing else so my patch is still 0k after it has finished.

Is this normal? I am still very new to WF/WB but from using WB for Oblivion and Skyrim I noticed there are lots of options ticked when building those bashed patches, and they end up being around a few 100k or a few MB.

Can anyone help me out? give me an idea what options to tick and which to leave unticked? shouldn't it do this automatically like with WB?.

Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I read through the general readme included with the software (which I only just found!) and worked my way through it step by step, option by option.

I do not know why these options were not ticked automatically as they are with WB can anyone shed light on this?

Thank you for your reply.

Firstly, my apologies, I just assumed everyone would be familiar with them!

Wrye Flash and Wrye Bash (WB) are mod managers.

Wrye Bash is for Oblivion and Skyrim.

Wrye Flash is for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.

Wrye Bash: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/?

Wrye Flash: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35003/?

I didn't know where else to post my problem, as my post on the Nexus forums have had no replies as yet.

That's likely because the most common mod managers used here on Nexus, are Fallout Mod Manager, and Nexus Mod Manager. I'd never even heard of Wrye Flash/Bash before this thread came up.

Sorry, mate, but I can't really help you. Wrye Flash has a lotta posts on its NexusMods page, though, so have you checked there for anyone having a similar problem?

Yes I have posted there but no replies as yet :)

Thank you for replying though and sorry for the confusion!

I used NMM for ages and still use FOMM as Mod Organiser refused to play nice with my Fallout 3! :D

I only use Wrye Flash for the Bashed Patch function (even though I have heard it is an excellent mod manager but i don't fancy reinstalling all my mods!)
