I played the demo. I WON'T be buying the game. EPIC FAIL.

That's rubbish and you know it.
nope it's the truth... his claim that the character speed ruins the immersion of the game was nothing more than his opinion then I gave him a further example of how that should not be considering all the other "ludicrous" things that go on in the game.. my argument was a point of logic.. in that with all the "ludicrous" things going on in the game that apparently don't hurt immersion character speed should not either ..

...and the other was an immersion consideration.
Given they have just speeded the animations up to a ludicrous level, I think the terms "Dragon Age" and "Immersion" really need to never ever be put in the same paragraph
character speed should have nothing to do with the "immersion" of a game that is entirely unrealistic.. dragon age origins was ludicrous in many many ways including everything from setting to combat and yet that didn't detract from it's immersion .. now what your doing is taking something you don't like, which is your opinion, and trying to use it as a fact to make a claim it hurts the games immersion.. which again is only your opinion
Can you prove that what this person is saying isn't true and prove what you say is true?
the burden of proof falls to him for making the claim not to me for pointing out the flaws in his logic and the fact that it was just an opinion
Why does he have to prove his opinion? I'm no fan of the high speed magic ninjas either, they might be OK in a JRPG but they're seriously out of place in this setting.

No one has the right to tell someone their FEELINGS are wrong, if that's how something makes them feel then it's true for them, even if it isn't true for you or anyone else and it doesn't give anyone the right to tell them their feelings are wrong.

For me, the childish frenetic combat breaks immersion. Period. End of story.
The "logic" of others is totally moot and irrelevant.

I never said he did but someone interjected into the conversation and asked me to prove mine and disprove his when I was just the reply not the original matter under discussion and never claimed his to be wrong just not make much sense.. my point remains the same.. your entitled to your opinion but it makes no sense to say that the character speed hurts the immersion in a game full of so many many more other equally ridiculous things.. I never asked him to prove his opinion just pointed out that it wasn't a fact and didn't make much sense to me

again pay attention .. I never said his opinion or feelings were WRONG.. I just said it was only his opinion and that logically it didn't make much sense and even gave my reasoning behind it
seriously do you all not understand what the word "should" means or did you just chose to ignore that part.. or ignore the part where I continuously said it was his opinion

I had thought that DA2 would have a toolset. But, as it appears now it does not and will not.
Hopefully, and I say that as a plea to the Maker, this will mean that the extremely talented modders that so greatly and wonderfully enhanced DA:O will continue to mod.... NOT DA2..........but Dragon Age Origins.
That might mean several more playthroughs, many more hours of IMMERSIVE play.
Just my opinion of course.

That is a thought, perhaps they will help speed up Dark Times, I'm waiting as patiently as possible for part 2.
