At first I though it was due to the "New Bison Hotel" mod since it adds a new NPC in the V&V, but when I de-activated it I still kept getting the crash. Freezing is linked to Multi Core CPU's in FO3 (gamebyro) Though multi core is more supported now days it could still be the issue because it's known to cause "freezing" in certian points in a game The old fix would be to edit your Falloutdefault.ini, Fallout.ini, FalloutPrefs.ini so that multi threads are limited a seen in the Tweekguide On This Page Down at the bottom starts with update. However I always use this as a test. I'll do what the tweekguide said, then try to duplicate the problem. If it happens again then it isn't linked to Multicore CPU's or Multithreading. The new fix would be to press Esc, click load, but don't load anything, press Ctrl Alt Del, which will exit fallout an bring up the taskmanager, find the FalloutNV.exe or whatever it's called, right click it an afinity I think it's called, this will allow you to see how many CPU's are allowed to work on this process. So eh you could limit it to whatever, then try to enter the building. Bah... The only thing really different about that cell in particular is really anoying PA system. Recently I've learned a little trick to get rid of those pesky PA's. Open the console an type TFC (toggle free camera) now you can direct the camera around the cell to whereever they are. When you find one open the console again an click on the PA. this should automaticly PRID it. PRID (ID) is pulling up the FORM ID for that item as the active item, and it should display in the top of the screen (so you know you are on the right thing) type disable hit enter an it won't play anymore. WHOA you know if you are using mods, it could be the case that a modder deleted something in that cell, but you are loading a mod after it that changes that item that was deleted. Or it could be that two mods are trying to move the same thing. The first one has been long known to cause crashes. Cleaning the mods fixes it. You could master update with FNV edit You should check that the game is updated Lastly I suggest that you start a new game, and then go down to Prim an enter the cell. It's going to allow you to enter probably an this will tell you that you have a problem with your save game going partially corupt. That makes me sad.Here's what happens:I go to Primm, press E on the door, I hear door opening sound, normal sounds keep going... no loading screen no nothing. I've waited like 5 mins for it to enter the loading screen. I tried to use coc VikkiAndVance which causes a freeze with sound on loop (like the one you get before crashing). I tried turning off and back on the ONLY mod that I have active affecting the casino. From what I know it just adds a single NPC in there. cptcairney Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 load order would be nice ;) and I had a similar problem which was due to interior lighting overhaul, it cant be used with master update, must be default esp's. And also make sure, if you do use it, Nevada skies is completely up to date, downloaded the one previous of the latest my self which was giving me problem until I updated it. nando420 Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) I recently got this problem the only changes i made was i installed old world blues, honest hearts, lonesome road and update 7 with dead money. I started a new game and when I go to open the door @ vikki and vance casino it crashes to desktop immediately on loading, I loaded an old save and fast traveled to primm and I got the same problem so its got to be something to do with the new DLCs, another interesing note is that the 2 powder behind the casino and the one on the second floor of the ruined building were not there as well as only 1 guy patrolling the roller coaster close to the second floor backdoor @ the bison hotel. please halp!
