I made a helmet a while back for my male human character. The helmet works fine for my character. I recently discovered that noboby else with the exception of Alistair can use it. How do I get the helmet to work for everyone? Is it a scripting issue or an issue wihin the DA Toolset? All help and advice is greatly appreciated

You need to make it compatible for all races and genders. I don't "make" items, so not sure whether this means some just additional entries in the item's characteristics, or not. I was under the impression that one had to make an entirely different one sized accordingly for each possible body model (so 7 in total, including Qunari Male!) But maybe that's just armour... :turned:

Can you elaborate? Is this a process that is done in DA Toolset?

I dont make custom items either. But I do know that you have to create a set of model and textures for Human- male and female, Elf- Male and female, Dwarf- Male and Female.
Thats if you want it to show up on all races, all genders. Those dif models will have to be scaled, and set for height and all that. (tho I'm not sure if the height is set by the game, or in the mesh settings).
And no that would be in your 3d editor that you used to make the models.

Darth Skorne,

Well, I've been analyzing your files and I noticed that many files are missing. You should try to create a customized model of your helmet.

In your archive, I found only one file ".uti" and some script files and '. plot'. Missing files ".GDA ' and '.mmh' and '.msh' that are needed for your custom helm
work properly.

Sorry if I was not very clear. Despite not having much free time available, send me a PM I'll try to help. :)

Ashtar.

One other thing to anybody reading this. I need to be clear about one thing in paticular. I did not create the helmet from scratch. I simply altered it and put it back in the game as my own Mod. I just realized that my post could potentially be a little misleading. If anyone is interested, here is the post I did while creating the Mod.

Here is the actual Mod itself on the Nexus
