Hey guys , I kinda have a problem with setting up my skyrim Enb , I've browsed through nearly every enb that I found to be most popular but from what the pictures show , my result is totally different from out there . My pc is pretty ok with everything , but I just feel that every ENB that I install has 2 major problems for me and I can't fix it with imaginator . First major problem is that no matter what texture level I use , everything is TOO god damn sharp, I mean everything looks like it's made out of grains of sand with some paint on them . I tried using Dynavision to try and cut off some of that , but the blur that it offers is't pretty helpful , you can still see the extremly Rough and grany edges on everything , I don't know ... maybe it's just my taste but I really can't play with the extreme sharpness.

And the second problem is that Everything glows exagerately , strangely , even scrolls or paper is blank white because of the light and when I'm in a dark area , it's too dark and the lightsources like tourches and stuff just glow in a extremly saturated way and don't really help lighting the room ... so yeah..

I'm kind of a newbie with enb's and graphic mods so if anyone can give me some suggestions , I'd be very gratefull.

I found this Enb but a picture that cought my attention with what I want to achieve , didn't had details on what settings were used for it . http://static-5.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/37978-3-1376159535.jpg

I want to achieve the textures of that wooden floor if you know what I mean .

The ENB I believe, well too me it looks like it could either be a custom setup, FeverNB or possibly TK ENB, it could also be Kountervibe. To be honest its hard to tell what ENB that is because there is so many, just try a lot and you will find the one you like. Imaginator shouldn't be used with ENBs.

For the wood, it could either be Amidianborn or RUSTIC Farmhouses, as before there is so dam many off them it could be one of the thousands out there, could be part of a big pack, person made them, or a small hidden gem etc.

Just have a look around, from the top of the Nexusmods to the bottom and you will find what you want. It took me almost a year to get the perfect setup.

If you are looking for a few ENBs, I've tested a lot and I would recommend these enbs, I would use them along with Relighting Skyrim and ELE (Don't use that mod with ELnFX or RLO or RCRN)

Grim and Somber ENB

Vividian ENB

FeverNB

Kountervibe ENB

Serenity ENB

Ruvaak ENB redone, haven't tested but it looks great, seen a lot of screenarchers recommend it.

A lot of people get good setups come from deep INI edits to the Skyrim INIs and ENBs ini and telling your driver software like nvidia control panel to do certain things for tesv.exe

Anyway good luck finding what you need

When you switch ENBs, make sure that ALL of the files from the previous ENB are removed. Some of them use files and settings that others do not, so if you just drag, drop, and overwrite you're still left with the extra files that weren't overwritten from the previous ENB, and those are likely to make the new preset look vastly different than intended. When I first started using ENBs, I had some of the same issues as you, and it turned out that this was my problem. My advice would be to go through all of your presets and see what files they install and clean all of those out of your Skyrim installation, then reinstall enbseries and a preset and see if you have the same issues. I use a program called ENB Organizer (you can find it on the Nexus, I believe) and it removes all of the files automatically when you use it to install/uninstall an ENB.

edit: Oh, and I recommend Natural Lighting and Atmospherics if you want a realistic look (don't forget to activate the esp!), and Grim and Somber if you want a more stylized look.

It sounds like you have wrong parameter under LODbias in Enb GUI or under Elder Scrolls Skyrim profile for your gpu (nvidiainspector, etc).

Also only few Enb profiles soften image a lot, hidding mesh "edginess". Install Tranquility Extended FX for comparison and set lodbias to 0.

Make sure you have installed only compatible lightning and weather mods for your Enb preset. Remove any old enb and sweetfx files and reinstall your enb.

The floor is actually covered in snow (I think this shot was taken in snowy Morthal). Wood textures are from "Vivid Landscapes Orc and Farmhouse" with exception of the wooden post.

If you like that particular effect of whitening, you might like these Enbs:
