Joining the legion first quest - Fort Hg (something)

Looking for advise. Im having issues with the first joing the legion quest.

So... When i first entered the castle i had to use the player.placeatme command to get tallius. I managed to get Rikke to tell me to go clear the fort but nothing appears on my quest log. I went and cleared it - although its not saying its cleared. I double and triple checked both areas and round the sides. Is there anyway to use the console commands to skip this quest or say its complete so i can move on? Im using alternate start which gave me issues before but i manged to to get the quests working that time.

EDIT - Ok this is weird. So i went in to my save files and deleted them all then started a new game - chose member of an army/Legion. Soon as the new game began it popped up that id complted the clear fort Hgg.. But that was a different character on a save file i had deleted. WTF is happening?!?!?!

Why did you have to use the console to get Tullius in the first place? If he isn't in castle dour, where he's supposed to be, you've got bigger problems.

As far as your restart, you deleted ALL of your old saves, and it's still telling you you've cleared fort Hraggstad? I would start with verifying your game cache with Steam, if things are still screwy after that, post back with a complete load order.

Thanks again for rewplying to this one too. Im not sure why he didnt appear, iv had that before and having googled the issue it seems to happen sometimes if using an alternate start. I went to Windhelm too and Ulfric wasnt there either. Id done the verifying, tes5 clean and Wyre Bash before i started the game. And yes, bizarrely with a fresh install and having deleted all my saves from the folder it did say quest completed when i created a brand new character from a fresh installation. NO IDEA!!!!

Anyways iv done yet another fresh install and refrained from alternate start. No issues so far
