SkittleRed Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 So I've recently been trying to use nexus mod manager and when i start it up, it comes up with an error that im missing the ini file? I did buy the game from steam i dont know if that matters, ive been looking everywhere how to fix this, and i dont know how. any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bben46 Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 You need to start the game using the steam launcher the first time. It creates the ini file then. Start the game, make a save. Then use NMM. But if you piled on a bunch of mods before beginning the game don't be surprised when it crashes. Like all Beth games there is an intro that has problems with some mods, and a tutorial that mods can cause problems with ( doc Mitchell's head going upside down was one I remember.) The real game doesn't actually start until you exit the Doc's house the first time. Even then there are still parts of the tutorial hanging around until you do whatever it is trying to teach.
