More like "some hardcore gamers stuck in the past" and "the rest carry on as usual". Do you really have to split PC gamers like me in half?

Do you really have to regard every opinion that is just a bit disapproving of DA2 as a personal insult?

Not really, I find it more appalling that some people decide to place me as PC user in one group. No one speaks for me and there are plenty of other PC users that will agree with me in this context. This whole "dumb-down", "consoliesd", "lowest denominator" from PC users has gone long enough, same with the console side as well. I'm sick and tired of this "war", it makes me hang my head in shame for being a PC user. What I really hate most of all that I must be forced to support one game or another, it sickens me to the stomach that I must choose TW2 over DA2. The more people are going on about TW2, the more I'm willing to just wing it and wait for DE:HR. And yes I did specifically choose to say some I didn't say all. I don't worship DA2 and put it in the mantle as the "god of RPGs", and I don't believe in anyone's reviews except my own but when I see something that I believe that isn't there, I will fight for it.

Why? Seriously, why do you think you have to choose one or the other? Do you like both of them? Good for you! But at some point you will have to accept that other people may disagree with you, and that there is no point in trying to rebuke how other people feel about some game.

If I'm disappointed with DA2, there's nothing you can say or do to change my mind. And I have the same right to be disappointed that you have to cheer every change and decision that the developers of Bioware had made in the game.

Can we agree at least that you have to live with my disappointment and I have to live with your cheering?

Either you are tired of "this war" or you will "fight for it". You can't have both

I think people are too hard on console gamers. Developers see console gamers as mindless dribbling imbeciles, you've only got to look at what happens to games when they try to appeal to the console crowd. The sad thing is the reality is very different, there are also a hell of a lot of complaints from console gamers about the dumbing down of games as well. Developers don't understand that the choice of platform is driven mostly by cost and ease of use, not a lack of brain cells. There is a lot of negativity from PS3/360 users towards this game also so lets not dismiss those concerns as PC elitism.
