Funny how there's no real response in there, just a jackass assuming things. I've downloaded tons of stuff from the various Nexii (Nexuses?), but I really don't see the point in this when it's easier to make an origin that suits your sibling needs, then modify Hawke, rather than the other way around. Or am I missing something?@Daiyuki: Yeah, its strange, who would want to change anything about a game? How stupid would it be if people were able to modify games the way they want? And, how dumb would an entire site devoted to just that be? If there was a site like that I'd just go there and ask "Um, why?"

@Daiyuki: Oh, have you not played the game? I presumed you were being antagonistic and that your question was meant to be rhetorical. My mistake, if you it was genuine question, I apologize.
Many people strongly like one of the siblings and strongly dislike the other. In my case, I think Bethany is really interesting, and I like the idea of having a sister to protect as a motivation for my character.
Unfortunately, the game chooses which sibling (I assume you know of both Bethany and Carver) survives at the start of the game based solely on your class. If you are a mage, then Carver will always survive and Bethany will always die. This is a limitation which, I believe, presents an obvious opportunity for modification - thus, here we are.
I hope that is a satisfactory answer.

@xatmos: Agreed. It is both logical (in a way) and rather annoying that the surviving sibling is based off MCs class. This in fact is the reason I was drawn to this mod in the first place (though have dl'ed other mods of yours for DA:O).
I would also agree that liking one sibling pretty much precludes liking the other. They are just to opposed. Besides Bethany is pure eye candy as well as a great character. Carver I dislike enough that I will not play a mage without being able to work around him (and I have gotten pretty into being a ranged rogue).
Does leave me wondering though. Daiyuki have you played the game at all? Not trying to be an asshat but its not long into the game (15-20 minutes) and the sibling choice is made for you. Yes it does matter to some which sibling they keep or more in general which sidekicks/henchman they have access to. Such things can and do influence the game.

Well, you can actually get a working version of this mod using the console.
For example, if you want your sister as a mage, you start the game as a warrior/rogue, and then use the add/removetalent script to manually switch in each mage ability 1 by 1. (You can't switch in the entire class unfortunately, it causes the same invisible sibling issue, and you have to be sure to remove part of the warrior/rogue class trees. Too many trees and the ability screen get's messed up.)
Then use the no equipment requirements mod to equip Hawke with a stave, and you're all set. No invisible sibilng, no scene issues other than no one noticing Hawke's a mage. Don't know if that can be easily implemented in a mod without the toolset, but it's something.

@heiro001: Actually, I think you could effect the same thing in fewer steps using my tool. E.g. If you wan't to be a mage and keep Bethany, start as a mage, then immediately after chargen use my tool to change to a rogue. Then never change back. The "no requirements" mod would still be required, obviously.
I haven't tested it yet, but in theory it should work.
However, if DA2 is like origins then when you level up you gain class-specific stats, some of which are hidden, and they may have a large cumulative impact on combat effectiveness. In other words, this method might result in a gimped Hawke in late game. Not sure, though.

When I used it, class specialization has changed...
I selected mage, so I changed brother to sister.
But after arrived at Kirkwall, warrior class specialization is generated.(reaver, templar, berserker)

@Yevgnen: Yeah, I foresaw that being an issue. Use the console to switch them, or load before it awards specializations and switch your class so that it awards the correct ones.
There is no perfect, hands-free, solution to this yet.

I think that's an mod conflict. I solve it by deleting all other mods.
However, I'm very sorry to say that looks like complaining, two problems are happened.
First, Avelin's class has changed to mage.
Second, I switched Carver to Betheny lived. But quests recognize Carver instead of Bethany. Companion quest for Carver has occured..
