@Lehcar: You keep saying that. But you will rarely convince people to change their mind by just adding superlatives. Personally I found the combat to be better, I found the world to look a lot better; the designs are mostly, if not all improved, the craft of meshes and textures are all nicer; I like the companions as much as in DA:O and ME1/2; and in general the foundation of the game is all improved.

But the story? I just completed the game yesterday, and the ending felt very weird; like they had a cool idea for the bosses and the final boss fight; and then decided that they would make any decision you could potentially take mean nothing, since they had to make you fight both bosses anyway.
I wish they had made you do more to keep or weaken the peace before that; had given you more time with both parties; and then allowed you to talk at least one of them down.
& this part matter most, since its the last thing you do in the game, the thing I'll remember once I stop playing. There were good parts, like the story of your family, the companions stories, and I loved how grim and dark some of them are, like Merrills path; but they are side quests, all while the main quest feels wrong; and I always loved fighting the chantry, and even so I feel a bit empty afterwards.

I think that's the point ~ he also looked puffy from all the drinking :)

Heh, I had a bug in my game I believe; and he showed up both as a drunk and as the king; so I though it was him trying fake being king.

And there are many bugs like that; and I wonder about people like Leliana; in my imported game she was hardened, in love, and stood by as my warden desecrated the ashes, all while I pushed her to get out of the chantry; at the end they left together; and now she is back under the yolk of the chantry?

& Anora ruled alone, and thus I thought that Alistair was faking it as king.

& I kind of hope its the mods from DA:O making the import unstable, but dunno.

Please, Dragon Age Origins further develops, and drops the second part - BECAUSE II. I have never seen such a garbage, after a such dreamlike start with DAO, now thus a ghastly continuation. Pity around the dear money.

Huh? Understand this post, I cannot.

Looks like a online translation that selected Yoda instead of English, I shudder to think what I've said to non English speakers when I've used one of them.

I just don't know how to feel about this game. I'm really trying to like it but it's very, very hard. As someone said earlier it kinda feels like a chore that just has to be done. I miss being able to talk to my companions whenever I feel like it. The combat is really crazy (in a good way) but it's sometimes hard to keep track of what's exactly going on. As for going back to Origins I think I will first finish this one just to see if it really is that bad.

I usually play Biowares games through several times but I can't with this. I managed to get as far as Act 3 on a second playthrough but it felt more like a chore rather than something I really wanted to do. I started it up twice tonight and both times I quit within minutes. I chose a different class and made different decisions to the first playthrough but very little changed in the game. It didn't help that playing a ranged rouge felt exactly the same as the mage I used in my first playthrough. A 6/10 from me, not a terrible game but Bioware are capable of a lot better.
