Someone mentioned Isabela's ship and i had a (stupid) thought.I've played many FF games and most of them had you travel around the world with airships.I know Dragon Age isn't FF,but wouldn't it be awesome if you could travel anywhere with Isabela's ship?Well i can just dream...!Anyway,i want to see a lot of things in DA:3 but i'm mostly concerned about who will the main character be.I can't help but (stupidly) think like this:Your warden will most likely have a part in DA:3.But what will they do?Will they create a warden from scratch? It would be very difficult (almost impossible) to let you import one from origins. Then there is Hawke. He will be in DA:3 too. What will he look like?Male..?Female..?The main character will always be 1 so they won't let you customize both the warden and Hawke. What if they make it so,each playthrough, you can select to play either the warden or Hawke, mentioning that the other one died or something (equally stupid)? They already did this with Bethany/Carver,you could only have one of them,so they might do it again. You get were i'm going with it.I know it's still unsatisfying (and stupid!) when you think about it,but what if......Just food (junk) for thought!Anyway they will probably introduce a new character in DA:3 and i agree that Orlais will be a big part in the game.Sorry for my english,i'm greek;-)
I am so glad someone else thinks the ship travel thing is a cool idea!
I was hoping people would actually discuss DA3 ideas but most people seem more interested in talking about whether tevinter is more like the roman or british empires.
I never thought about FF and the airship similarity, not played FF since FF7 though so distant memory for me, i was thinking KOTOR and an old pirates of the carribean RPG but FF works to. I think any game that can be compared to FF and KOTOR is going to be a winner lol. I think you will play as hawke but i never thought about the fact people may want to customise the player character at the start so here's a way to do that. Bioware could set up a stroy where hawke is being hunted by templars or mages, depending on the DA2 ending you played, and so has changed his/her appearance with some magic, or something, so you can start with a character create option. Although a magic sex change sounds a bit stupid lol.

Gender switching is not likely to happen, and isn't really needed.

Specifically, the source of the Darkspawn, the Taint, and the relationship between them and the Black City. Avernus's writings refer to some strange connection between them, Chantry Lore offers an explanation (whether true or not), and the PC in Origins and Awakening had dealings with creatures in the Fade.
Then there is also the matter of Flemeth, Morrigan, and what they are really after.
I wouldn't mind seeing a DAIII where the first two acts took place in Thedas, but the third act involved a trip into the Fade and to the Black City itself. Perhaps the Darkspawn could be wiped out once and for all (or perhaps cured of the taint), and the Maker's favor returned to the world. That would seem to be a pretty EPIC quest. It might even work as a second expansion pack to Origins and Awakening, for epic-level wardens.
I know some people cringe at any mention of the Fade, but if it was handled more like it was in Awakening and less like Origins it would be fine.

Since this series has already become Dragon Effect, I predict that the Black City is a Reaper.
Please don't spam in the DA3 speculation thread, there are already about three or four threads open where you can slag the game off, but this thread isn't for that.
I think it's going to take place in Orlais, simply because Sandal is going to be there. They can't possibly make a Dragon Age game without Sandal in it.
