Hmm, does anyone else think Stroud's voice sounds familiar? They must have the same voice actor. He sounds exactly like Riordan.

Also, why do the Wardens in Kirkwall get such awesomely smexy armor?! I didn't see any of the Wardens in Origins or Awakening wearing that awesome stuff. All they and MY Warden got was plain ugly junk. Also, why does he have such an awesome entourage of capable, kickass fellow Wardens to fight at his side? My Warden didn't get anything of the sort, in either Origins or Awakening. Posted Image

Duncan had a thing for barely equipped, unshaven louts. Well, excepting you and Alistair.
Seriously, play the dwarf noble origin and see them. It's embarassing.

Gah, I guess I'm just a little miffed because life as a Warden in Ferelden, in Origins/Awakening, really stunk. But looking in from the outside in DA2, it looks so awesome. The Free Marches' actually have a properly organized group of Wardens, and it seems so amazingly badass. Go figure. Posted Image

Once again I think this should be in the spoiler section.

I really didn't see the purpose of those wardens in Kirkwall aside from maybe paving the road for a future DLC/expansion. I'm half-willing to get it though if I see positive feedback about it I might get it.

And I agree that armor is really cool.

The Wardens had been kicked out of Ferelden and only recently let back in. And even so, probably remained "under suspicion" and weren't regarded too favourably. So no wonder they're a lot less "established" than the Wardens elsewhere.

I thought they got back in after being exiled at the start of Origins. Years have passed since then

Or did it happen a second time? o_O

They were exiled a couple-hundred years ago. Sophia Dryden was the Fereldan Warden Commander then, who rebelled against the King, (see: the WK DLC.) The Wardens were allowed back by Marric (Cailan's father) sometime after he and Loghain managed to expel the Orlesians and regain the throne. So less than 30 years ago.

After being completely absent and held in disrepute with no "estates" of their own, it's not surprising that it's taken a generation just to get them back to some level of respectability. (Only to go and get all-but-wiped out again at Ostagar! )

I thought the grey wardens in DA2 were dicks.. I mean when they go "no sorry we can't help cause we don't get involved in politics but here have this crappy charm" as the city burns around you ... makes no sense since from what I remember all you did in DA:O as a warden WAS get involved in everyone else's political matters.. even as far as choosing an entire peoples kind

Given that Cailan was such a huge Grey Warden fanboy you'd think he would've given them anything they'd ever need along with the flashiest armour available stammped with griffons and everything.
