I think it would have drastically improved the dialogue. I don't mind the wheel and found it fine in Mass Effect, but the addition of special good/evil actions and a player alignment would have added a much needed layer of immersion to the dialogue which I found sorely lacking. In some cases, you can defer to companions for help and I found that to be a fantastic addition. Anyway, those are my thoughts.

When was it Evil and Good in ME?

Renegade is hard and aggressive, like the lower option in DA2, and the Paragon option is the kind/diplomatic option in DA2.

Only the neutral option was turned more into a humorous on in DA2.

On a personal level DA2 got better and more immersion dialogue than ME2, esp. since you often are presented with moral choices outside if you are harsh or kind as person > so my angry Warriror can still defend mages, and be kind to friends. Besides the fact that its changed outside these options, so the angry/direct warrior always sounds pissed.

So I'd say they are extremely happy they went off the restrictive and for me immersion breaking version of ME1&2, but I wish they had added the interactive options of ME2 (being able to hug a crying Merrill, or the like).

Interrupts would have been pretty amazing in this game. There were definitely some moments when I wished I could have used the stabbyknife in the middle of someone else's sentence. Or even better- snark interrupts. Hawke cuts off crazy mage and completes their rantings with a story about how the Chantry priests are dipping small children in mustard and feeding them to nugs. Ooooh yeah.

Yes, this is one thing I don't get why they didn't take right out of ME2 ~ a kind, a humerus/snarky or hard/direct interrupt.

As for those 3, why they didn't do 3 charcater animations for the walk, one for each of 3 that change depending on how you act ~ would have added much, and made it easier in a sense as well ~ now a harsh hard warrior woman looks a bit weird when she is skimping along; or when they idle and she goes all coy; she should be different.

Yeah, the "shoulder stretch" idle action in ME2 is MUCH more appropriate than the "look-down, rub toe in dirt" one in DA2.
MY Fem!Hawke would never behave that way, yet there she is, doing it... <sigh>

I think they did an excellent job with it. I wouldn't want them to change it for the world. :)

And of course, the lack of comment by other characters about her character. Like how Meredith or the Seneschal would no doubt be irritated by a smart mouth Hawke, appear intimidated or defiant to angry Hawke. A bit disappointed in that aspect, but overall it's not bad.

Having played all tree through most of the games; I found it surprising that they did add as many different reactions as they did. Often people would react upon your character ~ not like Alpha Protocol, but still a lot more than ME2.

So dunno, can't really agree with you, well sure after the initial reaction they usually say the same, and the end result is normally the same (with some neat exceptions).
