There must be a place somewhere, that contains the changed name of your summoned Mabari. I named mine "Magnus", and when I summon him he comes up named "Magnus", therefore, the name "Magnus" must be stored somewhere in the games files and archives! But where? Looked all over the place, couldnt find anything. I imagine it would maybe be in your saved game information? Not sure though. Anyone know the answer?

In the save game, I see the name but if I edit it, the save game is no longer usable.

First, download this. http://www.gamefront...ditor_0_4_9a_7z
Then, open the editor and select the save file you want.
Documents/Bioware/DragonAge2/Characters/Whateveryournameis/Saves.
Open the DAS file using the editor.
Click Savegame_Partylist
then go to index 16271, an ECString and the value should be your dog's name. Double click the value and change it to whatever you want.
The Save doesnt work on the bottom of the editor, so go to file save as and overwrite the DAS file you opened.
That should work.

This worked thank you!! I used the GFF V4.0 editor and it worked the same way.
