WIP: Eternity Manor and Order of Holy Fire

ABOUT:

A mod I started 2(???) years ago and gave up. I have recently picked it up again.

This mod (when finished) should add a player home in a secluded grotto, a keep with NPC and a few quests

PROGRESS:

- Eternity Manor

Mid-sized player home. Made with proximity and scale in mind, so there is no loading and it is a reasonably sized home.

Also made in mind for followers - the manor has 8 rooms (with 1-3 beds) in addition to the maids room (3 maids) and your large room.

New video of a short tour:

- Eternity Manor exterior.

This is a tricky one, as I lack exterior meshes that mimic the manors layout, so I'm making it out of various parts. This is how it currently looks:

Fankly I'm a bit worried about performance

- the Grotto

This is where the manor will be placed in the end. WIP. The Whiterun structure is there for scale, as it's the width of the manor

- Keep of the Order of Holy Fire

Exterior is simple enough and will be placed in the corner near Falkreath or somewhere around that area. Still haven't decided.

The interior is giving me trouble because Bethseda are lazy bastards who built only a minimal set of parts that they didn't even test! The central room tile has collision boxes that prevents anyone from walking, making them effectively unusable. f*** this....

- OTHER:

Slavers cave and house are pretty much both done, need more quest scripting and dialogue to tie it in.

Any suggestions and help is appreciated.

NOTE: I will be releasing the alpha of this soon. It won't be remotely finished (because I suck at scripting and keep hitting obstacles while making this), but I figure I better put the files out in case I drop out, someone might make use of it

The idea was that the player has to find the other keep and can purchase the manor from there (the manor was give to the order by a rich noble without heirs, but mantaining it is too costly and pointless for the order, so they're trying to sell it). The player has to help a knight of the order as they investigate a string of dissapeareances. The trail leads them to a remote farm, which the player infiltrates to find a hidden passage. Down there is a cave which slavers use to hold their catch. After the slavers are killed and the slaves freed, the player is deemed trustworthy enough to purchase the manor. Some of the slaves freed become maids in your employ.

For the first release I'll probably drop this and you'll just buy it straight away or I'll just place the key near the door or something.

Well, I'll see if I can optimize the configuration. I can use a temporary model for a while at least.

I still have to fix the central Dawnguard room tile...or find someone who already fixed it.

I can't belive no one caught it.. i know Bethseda didn't end up using that tile, but surely some other modder caught it

Thanks aynway.

B.t.w. - given that I have a lot of rooms in the mansions, I want to make it really feel likr home.

That's why I'm adding a few weapon/armor dispalyes in those room too - you know when your follower had an armor or weapon for a while and you replace it, but want to store their old stuff?

Well, now they can dispaly it in THEIR room.

But to truly make it their room, I want to make it their home location(so I can dismiss them there easily) and their bed (so they sleep there).

Since I suck at scripting, I need help.

I need a way to designate bed ownership and home location in the house for the followers.

I know mods like ATF have "dismiss but hang around here" command, but you have to be at the location alread to dismiss them.

Waht I'm looking for is "This bed is now yours and this is now your home location!"

That not a script at all. It just ownership.

Just go to the item, say a bed. Click edit and look for the ownership tab. Pick currant follower faction. You can't pick a bed for each one and make them have their own room. They will use any bed nearby. But any other npcs can't live in it. And the mod you are looking for is my home is your home.

If you want to make it alive, give them a small house. Give them a dinning area, a sitting area they can hang out and have fun. Place a garden outside so for my home users. The beds can have weapon displays for each own. I like your idea.
