You're probably using ENB, right?

Thank you so, so much for posting this. I've been tearing my hair out trying to get Liquid Water to work, including disabling all of my mods. So far so good on a clean save and I got to enjoy Bravil's nasty brown sludge in all its glory. If you need me I'll be in the shower, but I don't think they make water hot enough.

To maybe over simplify these instructions, I completely uninstalled OBSE and OBGE, and deleted my oblivion.ini and obge.ini in my documents/games.

Loaded oblivion with an OBSE-free game for a clean save, console saveini, exit game. Install OBSE, repeat. Install OBGE, repeat. Installed Liquid Water, and it worked. I actually didn't have to edit anything in my .ini files, it worked itself out.

I have this issue a lot. My game in its entirety seems to run smoother sometimes than others... and then the liquid water starts working beautifully as well. But still it is often running at like 3 fps like you say, when the rest of the game is going 30-40 fps at least. But I can't really predict when it's gonna run at 3 fps or work properly. Maybe it has something to do with RAM (try restarting computer, which I rarely do).

I'm having the same problem with no idea how to fix it either. Hoping someone knows the problem because I could get liquid water to work just fine before

Did you try some of the tweaks on:

I dislike how OBGE needs Wyre Bash, it's the only reason I'm not using this mod.

So far every time this happens I just restart the computer and it works fine.

In response to post #13493733.

it does not need wrye bash. I installed obge manually (with liquid water) without problems or glitches. but it is not recommended, if you do not know how and what to delete in the folder structure in case of deinstallation.

For anyone having problems with the lava showing in the Oblivion realms, there's an unexpected character in WATERDISPLACE004.pso.hlsl. Copy the following in \\Data\\Shaders\\override, flush cache, should be working now (at least for NVIDIA cards):

http://1drv.ms/1h40bAO (This isn't a permanent fix)

Draven has suggested reverting to LW2.1_RC3 to bring back the lava for good. Or for the same effect leave the Rc4 in, copy over WATER011.pso.hlsl  to \\Data\\Shaders\\override from Rc3 and flush the cache.

Hi lmstearn,

Had exacty the problem you described but for some reason the fixed file you posted doesn't seem to work for me  out of interest can you advise what the unexpected character is? Maybe if I try manually changing my WATERDISPLACE004.pso.hlsl file it might help (not sure why it would make a difference)? alternatively, does anyone know a way to disable LW just for the oblivion realm?

Edit:

I'm using LW 2.1 RC 4

Also, I did a comparision using http://www.diffchecker.com between the file that comes with LW 2.1 RC 4 and the one you posted, and they look to be identical? (I also checked the one that comes with LW 2.0 and that is also the same)

Hope you or someone can help :)

Cheers
