It's a total newb question but what would I do to get a modded weapon off of my character and into a file that can be placed into the override folder???Posted Image

Simple answer: You can't.

Complex answer: In game items cannot be transferred into usable file for exchange; you would need the Toolset for that, but there isn't one.

Actually, you could create that particular version of the item. Just use the pyGFF editor to extract the item's original .uti file from designerresources.rim located in your installation folder. Then use an editor like this or this to edit the item's properties to your liking. Once done, just save the modified .uti file and drop it into your \override folder.
