I just found the Elf-race mod, pretty cool. I always hated the fact that you could only be human in DA2, so that was a welcoming sight.

So I just came up with another idea, not sure how doable it is, because there isn't a toolset yet, right? But anyway, here's the idea.

If there was some way to give Hawke elven ears, but let the rest remain human, he/she would look as if he/she had at least one elven parent, which would be pretty cool. No need to change the body type either, so all armors would be equippable without issues. I imagined that Hawke's apostate father would be the elf, as his/her mother's family is noble.
Also, adding the same ears to Carver and Bethany would make it more realistic.

Anyway, just throwing it out there. Might not even be possible, but if it is, that would be super cool, and I'd download it instantly.

Do you envision dialogue tweaks too? I mean, surely Merrill, at the very least, would comment on it. See spoiler for others.

No, not neccessarily. That seems like asking too much.

If it's possible, then certainly - why not, but I'd be thrilled to see it either way.
