This is such an amazing mod. Basso sounds very creepy, but kinda friendly. Great addition to any thief. Now to get Thieves Highway to work :l

So I had this mod installed on a non-steam version of Oblivion and it worked fine, but now with the Steam version, even with OBSE installed correctly it comes up with an error saying OBSE isn't running, and has to close the game. Game works fine with the mod disabled and other OBSE reliant mods, just not this one.

In the strategies section of the readme, it says:"Drag the bodies of your unconscious victims into water to drown them, or throw them off of ledges to cause extra damage.", but I cannot drown them and I have doubt about throwing them off of ledges.

the purple is because ur missing texture, and the crash is probably because ur missing meshes,
put the meshes and texture folder located in the .zip in your oblivion/date folder
and ofcourse u need OBSE

I think there will no more updates for this. The last time the author visited here was a year ago and the last time he posted was Feb 2009. I really like this mod but with bugs like others have in the comments and lack of updates I can't endorse.

Looked around this mod in the cs, lots of cool things were planning to be added like a Constantine-style mansion heist, some new city and flash bombs. Shame the mod never got completed.
Thought I'd mention but this mod and mods where weapons get stolen like MOO mudcrabs or Champion's death breaks the arrows/blackjack chest script so eventually you can't buy anymore and you don't have anymore without console adding them.

This is too bad. I've been watching Gopher's LP of the latest Thief game, and came here to have a look at this mod.
A good alternative to this might be the Tamriel Immersion Experience mod (T.I.E. for short). I've been using it for a while now, and I really like it. It is also somewhat of an homage to the Thief series, and gives you the gas arrows, at least. Not sure what all else, as I have found some unexpected surprises (the good kind)! Also, it is being maintained by Arthmoor now, and is still being updated occasionally, I believe.
