I have given this file my endorsement.
Works fine; makes morrowind look nicer and the distant landscape thing makes a world of difference.

I still can't get it working, but I'm sure that it's worth the endorsement

I finaly got this to work only to find out that my video card is to old and does not meet the requirements in order to use most of MGE shaders and stuff. Anyway since it does work and I can use it to play other great mods depending on it, why not let you guys know that you did a great job and hopefuly you'll stay with our community for many years to come.
Cheers,
Pushkatu!

MGE makes this old and still very interesting computer RPG look better.
I had also a problem with MGEgui.exe crashing after I reinstalled Morrowind. Then I noticed that my Windows 7 system has only DirectX11 installed and MGEgui.exe still needs some DLLs from DirectX9. Now after installing also DirectX9 it works OK on this computer. (DirectX9 works together with DirectX 11). Many other games and programs worked fine without a new DirectX9 installation.
