No armor for modded companions

Hi, I'm completely baffled by just the armor not showing up on my npcs I created to be as followers in Skyrim (I use EFF as my preferred companion mod) They would appear on the npcs just fine upon first launch into the game, but after I save my progress, exit the game, come back in to it.. The armor is gone/invisible. I use LOOT to deal with the load order of my plug-ins (Even delving into manually ordering some of them myself). I've generated the texture files for the npcs while in CK, but nothing.. So now I'm a lost cause looking for some other angle or direction to take. Any suggestions perhaps?
