So, this is the first playthrough with mods installed and i'm stuck at "Howe treachery" quest.After the attack an arrow is marked on the map telling me to equip my gear and well, I did, as I did the last time.For some reason it won't disappear, and as you know, I can't get the key to open the door, so i'm stuck.Is it possible that a mod is breaking the quest? :blush: If so, I can make a list with the mods installed, if someone is interested in helping me ofc. And where exactly are you stuck? (Inside the estate, outside, in the dungeon...?) And yes, providing a list of the mods you've installed is a good idea, since no-one but you knows what they are. Yknotu Posted October 28, 2015 Share Posted October 28, 2015 This is the first quest at Cousland Castle. You don't need a key to enter Mother's room for equipment. After killing Howe's guards outside your room she comes out the door and it is unlocked then. You have to get all 4 of Howe's men, killing only two won't work. If you mean the key to the Cousland Treasury Room, mother gives that to you as soon as you get close to the door and try to open it. I don't recall Ser Gilmore giving a key, but some say if you talk to him in the great room while the battle rages, you won't get a key from him to the larder where father is. So go in swinging and don't stop until you have killed all Howe's men, then speak to Ser Gilmore. That might break the stuck part? If not, list your mods that effect early in the game, like the Ser Gilmore mods, or Hugs, or dialogue fixes. The dialogue fixes especially messed me up and I had to remove them. soulcarver Posted December 28, 2015 Share Posted December 28, 2015 I had a similar issue with this quest, where I was also stuck in the bedroom area. I had the Auto Loot mod active, and for some reason, while that was active, it did not recognize that I had opened the chest in the parents room.
