Ive only been playing SI for a couple of days, and Iv already noticed soom anoying bugs. Ive gotten to the part where I get to be Duke, and I choose Mania. But every time a dark seducer greets me they say "Mad Gods blessing, Dutches of Mania." even though my chariter is male.

I wouldn't call that a bug. I would just call that psycotic-demented behaviour. I noticed that before I lit the great torch, the guy from Dementia said i'd be given the RING of somethingarather but instead i got the RAINMENT of somethingarather

well I thought they were just trying to be a bunch of smart asses since I sided with Mania, so I killed the first five that said that, then I reallized it was some kind of bug. When you have to light the torch, if you light it for Dementia you get a ring, if you light it for Mania you get the rainment. you probly lit the Mania side with out realizing.

Nope, I didn't. I wanted to be dementia, so I talked to both the guys, and lit the dementia torch. It was green. And i have a black rainment. Its just a recording stuff up that was overlooked.

i think they realllly need to make a patch for SI. Although ive never had a problem with, you would not believe how many posts there are with the title 'Shivering isles help' or SI glitch'. it needed a bit more playtesting i guess. Also, for the dutchess of mania thing, are you a custom race charactor? i dont think that make much of a difference, since its still recognized as female, but it might...

It will probly be a while before they make another patch, seeing as how they just realeased one. It might be quicker if some one just updated the unoffical patch

Here's a bug for you

every single icon/the map is off. i.e i'm walking on the road and the map sez that i'm not on the road but in fact just to the side of it.

UESP refers to a serious bug that may make Oblivion unplayable after some 120 hours play after SI has been loaded. I am not sure I understand it. Those more technically minded might like to take a look and post here on just how serious it is.

Their recommendation is to reinstall Oblivion without SI.

Is this a really necessary?

Apparently, an FF* FormID is being used each frame. This occurs even if you start a new game and never touch the SI content. Since there is a limited range fir savegame FormIDs, this is a major problem that will cause an affected savegame to become unplayable. Uninstall SI, and set your current savegame aside until this is fixed.

*FF IDs denote references created during the course of a savegame.
