TundraStar
Hi guys. Im new to this forum, and i just payed and downloaded the Nexus Mod Manager. I remember playing Skyrim Vanilla many years back. It was great but I quickly lost interest because of the pure scale of it. I didnt think so many still played it. Now im a bit more matured and I thought I would give it another shot, so I bought the Legendary Edition on Steam. I am gonna play it with mods this time to make it a bit more immersive. Im kind of new to mods so im by no means an expert. I now my way around PC's and installing programs and such and ive tried mods in other games before. I just need a little help here. I wanted to make Skyrim more of a survival game. I therefore checked out the article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun on which mods to install. I have therefore installed first of all SKSE and then Frostfall with Camping, Wet and Cold, Realistic Needs and Diseases 2 and Climates of Tamriel. Along with the unofficial patches of course. I started a new game and froze to death during the intro at Helgen (lol!) but decided to turn off Frostfall until i was out of there at least. I cant seem to get RND to work though. I get the needs widgets up but they dont change no matter how much i eat and drink, so im guessing my load order is wrong. Do you experts have any recommendations? I have tried to follow some guides but im having trouble understanding all of them. My load order is the following: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.esp (need it for RND 2 right?)Dawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthfires.esmUnofficial Hearthfires Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espCampfire.esmClimatesOfTamriel.esmHigh-ResTexturePack01.espHigh-ResTexturePack02.espHigh-ResTexturePack03.espUnofficial High Resolution Patch.espSkyUI.espFrostfall.espWetandCold.espWetandCold - ashes.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dungeons-Hazardous.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.espClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-1.espRun For Your Lives.espWhen Vampires Attack.espChesko_WearableLantern.espRealisticNeedsandDiseases.espRND_AnimalLoot.espRND_USKP-Patch.esp Does this look OK, or is the order of things here making my RND to not function properly? If any of you guys have any more tips for mods I should add and in what order I would greatly appreciate it. I dont want too many, and I would like to keep a sense of realism. michael199310
I never had any problems with RND and I've used over 100 mods at one time. You should use Wrye Bash and BOSS for sorting your load order. If you want mods recommendations, look at Skyrim GEMS (categorized mods).I recently came back to Skyrim with my all-time favourites mods and here's my list of cool mods and some tools to make your gameplay better as well (it's not complete, I had many more but those are essential):Build your own houseSkyUIMonster Mod (w/Monster Wars)Immersive Weapons/ArmorsHunterbornSkyrim UnleashedSKSEExpanded Towns And CitiesJKs SkyrimBandolierCloaks of SkyrimMzarkCharacter Creation OverhaulRandom StartBounty GoldApocalypse/Phenderix spellsDuel Combat RealismEnhanced Enemy AILoot And DegradationFrostfallRealistic NeedsReal Shelter/Climates of SkyrimHelgen RebornMillwaterCamping Kit RangerDiseasedConvenient HorsesTouring CarriagesImmersive PatrolsWarzonesSands of Time / Extended EncountersDeadly DragonsWintermystHarvest OverhaulUnoffical patchesCivil War OverhaulPaarthurnaxUndeathTDB ResurrectionMoon And StarAgent of righteousWyrmstoothPerseids InnsDarkendCombat BehaviourASISCombat EvolvedArchery OverhaulCults of Skyrim / OBISSounds of SkyrimShroud of JotunheimImmersive CollegeSome of them don't work together, so if you want overhaul like Skyrim Redone/Skyrim Unleashed/ACE you have to pick one.Hunterborn, RND, Perseids Inns and Harvest Overhaul work really great together if you seek more realistic and immersive approach.
