No, in order to make something like this work (and I have infact toyed with the idea of making a mod like this) you would have to use a script which removes the first weapon, then adds and equips the second version of that weapon. The problem with doing any mod like this is the effects of the weapon itself since you're pretty much stuck with enchantments that only hit when the weapon hits. This is the main reason why I havn't done a mod like this, there isn't anything too interesting that you could add to a weapon to make the whole "unlocking of forms" thing worthwhile.

What I said there still applies. Without some greater functionality besides effects happening only when you've hit something with it, I havn't had much interest in anything of this sort. And honestly, I'm I'm going to go through the trouble of doing the meshing and texturing, I'm certainly going to want it to do something cooler than a damage health effect. Unenchanted!? Why? You're just going ti enchant it anyway... Atleast in the CS you can add more interesting enchantment effects.
