This may be a slightly silly question, but is there a way to only install part of this mod? I'd like to be able to change the companion's gear, but still have their original outfits stay the way they are and receive the armour updates.

I'm thinking about Aveline in particular, I seems odd to change her out of her guard-captain uniform. Is there some kind of solution where they would be able to keep their original outfits and get the upgrades unless I personally give them something else to wear?

I get that the mod is designed to let you give them better gear while maintaining the default appearance... But is there anyway to keep the appearance of the new equipment without it defaulting after every cutscene?

Is there any bug that doesn't change colours of those armors? I installed the newest version but color doesn't change.

Is there any way to keep your sibling's clothes equipped during scenes like the opening exaggerated one or the one where you meet them in acts 2 and 3 after they are separated form you? It is quite annoying having a half naked Carver and completely naked Bethany on my screen during these scenes.

What is with the hideously bright colors? No offense, I couldn't do what you did but, wow...

I've been using this mod for a while now and it's always worked great. However - my laptop crashed and I had to reinstall all of my mods, and now this one won't work right.

Whenever I try to equip one of the upgraded armors, they always appear greyed out because of the level requirements. Right now, for example, Aveline is level 9, but it says it can't be equipped b/c it requires level 7.

I'm not sure why this is happening, as I've never had this issue before and I've got all the same mods installed as before.

Love this mod. Only problem I am having is that I installed the No Helm file, but they still appear. Anyway to fix this? I noticed someone else had this problem quite some time ago and it was suggested that they keep the file separate from the main file, which I did and still nothing.

Is there anyway to keep your siblings clothes on in the fake prologue and during their death? (not sure if it happens anywhere else, havent gotten that far with this mod yet). Its kind of annoying fighting alongside a half naked Bethany/Carver or wondering "did mom just strip down Bethany/Carver as we're fighting this ogre? WHY MOM?! Thats kinda creepy"

In response to post #5429598. #8859450 is also a reply to the same post.

More than a little late, but--

For Fenris, let's say, I have Fenris of Seheron installed these days. Depending on the armor files you choose, you could start the game with the full-chest model that simply says something like 63 armor (improves with level up). No slots for runes, nothing fancy added. BUT, if I buy his upgrades from the vendors in-game, I will get the current version of his original vanilla outfit to equip on him. IF I use VADDI to generate his next piece of armor (that is, use the names of armor given in this mod) I will get the modded version of the override I installed. (I think, for Fenris of Seheron, it's whatever you choose as A if you for A then B... though you can choose just one all the time, too. One is like a post romance suit.) So I will do my "runscript vaddi ensorcelled" and get a nicely upgraded piece of armor for my boy that is in my all-time favorite mod (the open chest version) and has some great stats and rune slots in it. I think it has 3 run slots. I use this mostly the entire game but if I get froggy, I can give him some other armor like Isaac's or Champion armor. So you can get the armor normally but it will be the vanilla recolors here from vendors, or you can summon them for the override look, if you prefer.

For a new game, no- You'll get the first piece as the vanilla default outfit and it will say 63 Armor (improves with level up) and no other added stats. You buy the upgrades (the versions offered here) in the vendors. Usually I ignore this completely and console-summon some armors I've dropped in, like Warden Effort Armor. I do have a few mods going and it's been awhile since adding all the mods, so my memory is foggy.

Hope that helps!

In response to post #12362365.

I think you need to download the 'default appearances' file, too. That way the naked body defaults to the vanilla armor. No nakey bodies! Warning tho- ANY time you take off their clothes (except for Hawke) their bodies will show with vanilla armor. There will be no underwear shots with them except during the cinematic 'sex' scenes and namely that applies only to Merril. Happily, there are many mods where you can equip your team with great stats and very little clothing if that's your bag. Certainly, don't keep to just what comes with the recolors here! Branch out and use the new freedom to great effect! Lots of people put lots of effort into some really awesome armor and clothing mods. Enjoy!
