I have given this file my endorsement.

I was wondering why transparency multisampling wasn't working...

I have given this file my endorsement.

@ AlekseiVasiliev

Not often do I get excited about mods/tweaks etc, but this has given my crossfired 4890's an amazing boost in performance! I was getting huge inexplicable framerate drops, below 40fps at times, but now I get an unwavering 60fps (vsync capped).

Seriously, you have just made my day. You have made this game...actually playable!

Kudos and file of the month! And thanks for sharing this gem ;)

Edit: I cannot vote this mod file of the month, it comes up with error "no file ID specified". Very strange. Anyone else had this issue- should I report it to admins?

I have given this file my endorsement.

This mod worked GREAT!!!!!!
My rig was a top of the line $1200 July 09 project and even it would get down to low fps around 15-25 in some areas with lots of characters. With this mod now, I never really see my FPS drop below 40 (and it really only comes close to that for a split second when it loads a lot of the background in one burst).

I really hope this mod keeps the FPS once we start rolling in dozens of mods and textures upgrades etc

PS: its a Vapor-X 4890 thats now working as well as it should at Ultra graphics on 1920 x 1080

Thanks!

I have given this file my endorsement.

This is definitely the "better version" of the d3d9.dll fix. The older version makes the vegetation look horrible (and surprisingly it also removes vegetation / changes the mesh of vegetation for some reason). Plus on my ATi HD 5850 it caused a glitch, a black line at the edge of asphalt streets.

Not with this mod though. Vegetation is normal, no glitch. And the difference is very obvious:

Standard: 1680x1050 ultra, shadows medium, 3 outdoor shadows, 2x AA, 2x Aniso

--> 20 to 45 fps with huge framedrops

With this fix: 1680x1050 ultra, shadows high, full outdoor shadows, 4x AA, 8x Aniso

--> 40 to 60 fps with almost no framedrops

It's magic! :)

The difference before and after the fix is amazing to say the least!

Works great, didn't work that well before the fix, and now I can run it on max everything!

I was using the original dll on my HD5850, started using this one and notice my FPS has improved slightly more and the flickering sky has gone aswell, thanks!

I have given this file my endorsement.

Completely eliminated choppiness on my 5770. Still get an occasional stutter, but it is VASTLY improved in the FPS department using this fix. Great work.
