Works great, thank you very much. (Win7 x64, i7 920, 6 GB, Radeon 5850, replaced my Steam 1.1.1.271 with one from teh nets)

One question: Is it possible to get the Steam overlay back while using this fix? So that achievements work, for example.

This seems to be working really well for me. Stutters are virtually gone. Max graphical settings @ 1920x1080 with vsync on. It still skips maybe occasionally, but I'll live with that compared to how it was previously!

this is amazing for the first time ever a beth game has actually run completely smooth shame i could never get fo3 to be this smooth even with the remover and the d3d9 file. great work thank you for this it is so perfect i am affraid to upgrade the version i have ^.^

Worked for me. If it doesn't recognise the .exe try running bat again. Didn't see any performance increase but all stuttering is gone! Had some CTD though...had to lower some LOD
