I have given this file my endorsement.
Excellent program, puts a lot of the best mods together with a very low crash rate.

I have given this file my endorsement.
Excellent mod, a great and needed contribution to the Fallout New Vegas modding community, looking forward to this getting more well deserved attention.

I agree that 6 rounds of .357 into the face is silly, so I use the 2x non variable damage esp that comes with XFO (which you should have downloaded since you installed nVamp). There are also x3 and x5 versions if you are feeling like the man and want to get one shot a lot. Something to consider when using these is that the weapons skills become slightly less important as they only effect accuracy and the automatic perks you get with nVamp. You could also use one of the accuracy esps that come with XFO to counter this, but I haven't bothered in my latest game.
To people having crash problems, I suggest using the master update function of FNVEdit to trick the game into thinking the .eps are .esms. Without going into too much detail, the game engine likes it better this way and you will see a large reduction in crashes and corrupt saves, if done correctly. I am speaking from personal experience with this and many others experience I have read / talked about. Your results may differ.
Another thing to consider when crashing and such with nVamp is that if you run a butt load of other mods along side it and don't do a fresh install of New Vegas, you may run into issues that are actually nothing to do with nVamp.
Hope this helps and thanks again to the nVamp team and its contributors, this mod makes me smile.

Please be patient everyone.
It may not seem like it, but a project of such a scope isn't an easy task. It won't be perfect overnight.
However, after having fiddled with it for almost a day now, I can say that, yes, my game launches, plays and exits properly without crashes.
There may be some rough edges left to be ironed out, but I prefer to invest some time and efforts in a quality package rather than to figure out on my own how to get dozens of different mods to work together nicely.
Here are the official support forums for this mod by the way :

The reward seems more than worth it to me.
Thank you to the nVamp team, and all modders who contribute to it.

Outstanding work. Took two days of downloads and compilation, but it actually worked the first time. I am new to modding and when I read the instructions I thought there is no way in hell I am going to get this right. Fooled me. Great job!

What can I say followed the instructions on a clean install and it worked off the bat. Very cool

Now that I got all the install bugs worked out, (most of which were either my fault or fixed in the latest patch) I am very happy!

Simply amazing. Still some kinks to work out, but still awesome.
