Combined with MMM, this mod has provided me with many a helpful and/or hilarious encounter.
I like to follow random travellers to see where their fate takes them (and me)...

Wasteland travelers
Overall a very good mod. The people wandering around make the place alive, something like Morrowind comes alive.
I made a few changes:
Loot drops, people die and available are all KINDS of expensive stuff, flamers, miniguns. This can be a windfall of cash for the player.
--I went into the GECK duplicated their weapons and armor; unchecked “playable” and assigned the new item to the NPC. When the NPC dies, the weapon / armor is not available to loot.
An alternative method derives from the pen and paper era. For armor and weapon drops, check the calendar. If the last digit of the month matches the last digit of the items value, then you take it.
IE, its December, the month number is 12 (the last digit is 2). That minigun’s value is 153 (the last digit is 3), ok you leave it. If the value is 142, you can take the minigun(2 as in 12 for December, 2 as in 142).
There are other methods but if the player does not want to destroy the economy by having a surplus of assault rifles, this is a way of doing it without editing the game itself and it should not be a big hassle.
--I removed the limit on Fast Travel, as otherwise all my escort missions failed and I piled up bad karma. To avoid it being a cheat, once I get a mission, I roll one 6 sided die: If a six exactly I can fast travel to the location, otherwise I must hoof it.
If a person dies, then I roll again: if 1-3 keep walking, 4-6 fast travel. Frequently, several people die at once so this is not as much of a cheat as one might think.
This way I actually might get some people to their location.
Watch out for the pickpocket crooks. If I kill any, then I lose karma. If outside, its best to follow them and eventually they’ll get killed by a giant ant or something (more likely if MMMutant mod is used) ENTERTAINING.
If used with the Sharing and Caring Mod, eventually the crook (inside) will stop running and I can use the "friend" feature to get my missing caps back.

Great mod bring more life to the fo3 world.There still could be few more adjustments but overall its very good.
