MOD Request to solve hero xp

I apologize if I come out arrogant asking someone else to do the job, but modding is not my trade and it would be fruitless to try doing it myself.

I pre-purchased the game a while back and lost interest when I realised I couldn't join level 1 quests with level 3 heores. I didn't shelf the game as some form of protest but simply because I didn't enjoy that level of management of the roster. To those who might want to reply "than this game is not for you", I'll ask "which game is than?". More or less each and every game we play has at least one feature one of us does not like/enjoy, if there is a perfect copy of DD with an easier roster management system I'd like to buy that game.

After enough googling I found out that this feature is something many players are dissatisfied with and each and every time someone brings up the issue, some wannabe-hardcore player steps in to "kindly" tell everyone else to "go play something else" (using entirely different tone and wording).

I did manage to find a reddit post about a workaround to this feature but what that user suggests is simply to let every hero of yours join any level dungeon, meaning that you can bring level 6 heroes along on your level 1 quests. That would solve the problem I have but in a way I don't feel satisfied with it because it lacks restraint, the solution I see to fix this problem is a bit more elegant but also, I bet, more complex to mod.

I'd like to have the option, when heroes get enough resolve to go up one level, to raise their level manually. This would give the player the possibility to keep a particular hero's resolve capped at level 2 and keep using said hero for low level quests. When the player thinks its time to level up he does so by clicking some "+" button, somehwere in the ui.

This feature would prevent the player from "cheating" but makes roster management less of a chore.
