I don't mind the ads too much. Although they do chew through my broadband allowance, once I hit 64k, I'm glad the ads are on timers, rather than the type where you actually have to finish loading and watching the video. If that happened, I wouldn't be able to download any mods at all.
Commercial before downloading

A New problem with downloads http://www.bild.me/b...412Untitled.jpg
No matter how big I make the pop up window in SRWare Iron, there is no longer a scroll bar on the right to get down to selecting a server. I presume this would be the same whether using mvps hosts file to block bad url's or not, the space dominated at the top by a video having been shown would still push the server options off the bottom. (See this topic http://www.thenexusf...tal-or-advised/ for my reasons, should anyone wish to advise me not to block anything)
On a laptop on windows 7, the window cannot be dragged any further up to get more vertical space. And the scroll bar now missing on the right of the window effectively disables your ability to select a server.
Can we have these pop up windows go back to being able to open the download by right clicking on the file and choosing open in a new Tab again?, in a new tab I believe a scroll bar would show.

The ability to put it in tabs is something I can do. It'll be a while before I can do it though, I'm away.
In the mean-time if you mouse click somewhere on the page (that isn't a link) and then use your down button it should scroll down, in the absence of a scroll bar. Does it?

I think this may also be a problem for Google chrome users in the not too distant future too, SRWare Iron is grabbed from the Chromium Dev builds, usually a bit more ahead of the updates to Google Chrome Stable and Beta channels.

I never like the idea of watching a commercial before downloading a file because it is not needed.
Then How do you propose paying the bills for the site?
We are always looking for a better way.

I fired up Iron (logged out, of course) to try and duplicate alt3rn1ty's problem but on the first file I downloaded, the box for the video appeared and then the window refreshed immediately and went to the transfer page. After that, whenever I tried to download something it didn't even bother with the commercial.

If you don't want to watch the adds either become premium or use firefox with adblocker plus simple, don't winge. Its how the site pays for your free downloads.
