Ya, I like your other two ideas for DLC.!But the other two ones I suggested weren't too bad ideas, were they?
There might be a problem if you play Hawke as an aposate mage though. Bioware would have to take that into account somehow. But ya, the escape sounds exciting and would work since it comes before the 3 acts of DA2.
I totally think Bioware should have DLC that fills in the 1 to 3 year gaps between Acts. What has Hawke been doing all that time? It might even help the narrative of Hawke's story, in a big way. Let me explain.
Think about it for a second, after the Deep Roads Expedition, what reasons would Hawk possibly have to help out all these people of Kirkwall? His/Her family is safe, they're rich and living in the lap of luxury. But for some unknown reason Hawke is compelled to help everyone out with their problems with no explanation as to why.
Why should Hawke care about rumblings within the Qunari? What did Hawke do those 3 years for the Viscount to trust him/her with any sort of delicate political negotiations? They never say, it's all whispers and innuendo. As the player, I don't care. Nothing in the game makes me want to care either. Burn them all and be done with it I say .. but no.
May I ask why the Captain of the Guard, even though they're friends, is stopping by asking for help? Is the guard really so ill-prepared under Aveline's watch she needs an outsider to fix her problems? Wouldn't this make her look incompetent in the eyes of the guard? No, because for reasons unknown to the player, everyone in Kirkwall just accepts that Hawke has everything under control.
So I'm all for DLC that would explain all these curious questions that run through my mind as I play. Because I'm tired of nothing making sense when I play this game.
