As disappointed as I was with DA2 I still would be heart broken if the series ended. Everything about DA captivated me from the stunning storyline to the soundtrack and...well I could go on and on. I hope Bioware is really paying attention to the fans with this one. I mean I have played Their other titles and they are not bad but they're nothing like DA IMHO. I even make comments to this day DAO and DA2 ruined other games for me because no other games can match to the quality, style and just over all brilliance of Dragon Age.

I have been a dark fantasy lover (well fantasy in general) for a long time and it is hard to find a decent fantasy style game out there. The last one that caught my eye was God of War and I am not even into hack n slash games.

Please....PLEASE for the love of the Maker do not end this series just yet!

As others have said, DA3 has already been confirmed to be in the works, so I wouldn't worry about that. What one might worry about though is if they learned anything from this and will allow themselves to take the time actually needed to make a game with fleshed out characters and a decent story... AND PLEASE let us be able to equip our companions as we wish. Over 50% of the loot was completely useless in DA2. Bows had no meaning at all if the PC wasn't an archer or had access to the sebastian DLC

Oh awesome! I really am out of the loop apparently lol. I agree with you though, hopefully they take the fans advice/criticism and fix the mistakes they made. ^_^

I hope that they never listen to all those people and never do fanservice ever again (by that I mean both sides). They should do what they do best not try and not make a Witcher clone because people think its great.

The fans aren't calling for a Witcher clone, they're calling for a return to CRPG style rather than a poorly designed CRPG pretending to be an action RPG. Of course, that's not going to happen, since

A. Laidlaw is obviously bummed he never got to make Jade Empire 2, and wants to make Dragon Age into something along those lines (thank god EA and the rest of the studio isn't that dumb.)

B. Now that DA2 hasn't been as successful as DA:O, EA won't be willing to risk as much money on it, which will create a vicious cycle of decreasing sequel quality that will probably kill the franchise.

Since KotOR looks as if it's going to tank, or at least not unseat WoW, and considering they've spent so much money that they'll be hard pressed to make back the games insane price tag, it looks like this is going to be the end for BioWare, or at least all studios that aren't working on Mass Effect, which is likely to be retooled into a true shooter after ME3, based on an ominous statement by an EA rep. So in effect, ME3 will likely be BioWare's last good.

Yet I'm a "fan" who wants them to improve no matter what. Who says that TOR's going down? Who's saying that ME3 is going to become a shooter (you should start by reading what's in it first)? People who just want to attack BioWare at every turn, people like you.

Seriously, I know that DA2 wasn't as great as the first but I'm not calling for Laidlaw's blood, nor do I want him to stop improving. I love DA2 just as the first and I know that there are faults which BioWare needs to fix, just like I do with every other games that I have.

There is no Dragon Age "trilogy", there was never plans for a Dragon Age "trilogy". Stop assuming that there is a Dragon Age "trilogy" and be glad that they got a low score instead of a high one. That will help them with their future games.

I hope that means a protagonist who is allowed to be intelligent and proactive with meaningful choices in the narrative instead of the reactive Hawke who was forced to hold the idiot ball for seven years with two nearly identical endings.

You mean the same thing which happens to Origins and Awakening as well? Every game has that major ending but branches with tiny changes which mean nothing.

So true. So, so true. It doesn't really matter what you do, as long as you do it. The only difference is someone doesn't like you as much in the game and someone else does.
