I got DA:O, DA:A, all the downloads, and I was quite happy with the entire game.
I got DA2...
GOD what a fail!

The further I went in DA2 the more frustrated I became, over several things.

Game Zones: Copies of the same game zones allover the game.
Maybe 5 uniques.

Storyline: Say wha?
Hardly the quality of a mediocre game.
The storyline of DA:O/DA:W is not even remotely matched in quality.

Encounters:
Plenty.
I killed the amount of 50 times Kirkland's inhabitants over, but they KEEP coming.
That's not bad, if only they dropped more.
Droprate suxxorz.

Unique Encounters: POOR!
Only things were in the Deep Roads.
Which were not that deep at all imho...
Some things were overgrown, but there it ends.

Storyline Diversity: Even 'Say-wha'er'!
Where in DA:O/DA:W you had several options, these are basically gone in DA2.
You cannot choose to become on the Arishok's side, they are brutes, you HAVE to pick the Kirkwall side.
But, my characters are Paragons, good-doers, and during the entirity of the game I ran into crime, political schemes, corruption....
Hell, being my character, I would side with the Arishok and wipe away Kirkland from the face of the planet!

Following the story, I became quite keen on the big horned fella.
Think: being banned from Par Vollen until he returns the Codex that was stolen, being insulted, threatened, attacked even.
Horribly frustrated by that, and the sight of kirkland's madness, and STILL honourable, even tolerant towards Kirkland, for no less than 3 years?
If I was him, I'd has erased Kirkland the 3rd hour I arrived there, heh.
But no, you CANNOT be on those savage's side.
No no, THAT would be not good.

I have to end the last (third) part, but I quitted the frikken game.
I lost my fun, worse, it ANGERED me.
Not a good thing if you're looking to cool down from a rotten days work, if you catch my drift...

If they think to make addons, then I hope they will fix the mess they made.
Although I wouldn't even bother to go check it out I guess.

While I'am sorry that you feel disappointed with the outcome of the game. I think that bioware has done the best they could with the time and money that they had for this game. From what I have been reading they seemed to know about the bigger technical issues of the game like the reused levels. Hopefully there will be a expansion to this game and continue with a plot that does not leave us hanging as much as da2.

Aren't there enough of these threads? Seriously, I went three pages back and found several.

How about adding to existing rivers of tears rather than creating new ones.

Good point.
I agree, and I apologise...

Could an Admin pls cut and paste it under an existing one, please?

Not an excuse: I was a tad too angry when I began this post.
Didn't think that far ahead....

At Arsanix:
Their cost and expenses does NOT!!! make an excuse for a crappy story.
I can live with -though it is a tad sad for this price of the game- that they reused the same maps over and over again.
Even more with the poor add-on of new creatures.

But such poor storyline and story options?
Inexcusable!!!!!
€ 32,99
THAT'S A LOT OF BEER I MISSED, heh.... :(
