i enabled the console command earlier this weekend and wanted to see if it worked but it didnt i pressed the tidle key and nothing happend so was wondering if someone was gonna make the alt key method for da2 just like dao??

I don't know what the alt key method is, but you can modify your console key in the keybindings.ini file.

instead of the tidle key its like f10 or f12 something like thatits one of the f keys

Are you sure you did all three steps to geting the developer console enabled? It works fine for me.

Step-by-Step (including for Steam installs):

1) Find your "Dragon Age 2" shortcut on your desktop

- right click - properties
- go to end of target line
- do a space after the quotation marks
- type in " -enabledeveloperconsole" (without the quotes, but with the "space" before the "-")
- apply/ok

*IF YOU HAVE STEAM*

First Method:
- right-click the "Dragon Age 2" option
- select "Properties" under "My Games" tab. 
- In the "General" tab, select "Set Launch Options"
- enter "-enabledeveloperconsole" in there and accept.
- Follow everything else on the guide

Second Method:

- go to your DA2 steam installation folder maybe 
like: "C:Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dragon age ii\bin_ship "
- create a desktop shortcut of DragonAge2.exe by; right click / send to / desktop
- add the -enabledeveloper console
- Follow the rest of the guide

2) Go to DA2 installation folder
- data folder
- create a copy of "dragonage2launcher.xml"
- edit "dragonage2laucher.xml" (with notepad)
- press Ctrl+F - find "firstruncheck" (w/o quotes)
- look for the string "<true action="execute" file="${BINARIES_DIR}\DragonAge2.exe" path="${BINARIES_DIR}" autoquit="true"/>"
- add arguments="-enabledeveloperconsole" to the end to make it
- <true action="execute" file="${BINARIES_DIR}\DragonAge2.exe" path="${BINARIES_DIR}" autoquit="true" arguments="-enabledeveloperconsole" />
- Save the file

3) Go to your "my documents" folder
- Bioware folder
- Dragon Age 2 folder
- settings folder
- edit "keybindings.ini" (with notepad)
- scroll down and look for "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave"
- delete "Grave" and replace it with your button of choice
- save the file

**That's it.**

Open your game, resume a save, press your console key, and you should be able to access the developer console.

NOTE: You won't be able to see what you're typing but it's working if you can't turn your camera or move your characters.

If the first time doesn't work, but you can access developer console, just exit the game and restart it again.

*IF YOU HAVE STEAM*

- Follow the instructions for editing the .XML file above.
- Follow the instructions for editing the keybindings above.
- hit tilde first before hitting the console key 
(if that doesn't work, hit both keys at the same time).

Yeah, so in other words modifying the console key as I said heh.

Would posit that there's a missed/broken step in your edits, since thousands of users have successfully enabled the developer console on all sorts of platforms, from XP, to Win7/64-bit, to Mac, with retail disc, EA Store DD, and Steam installs.

Out of curiosity, what is your platform/install?
