Nexus is not loading. IP blocked?

I'm having serious troubles accessing Nexus (Skyrim and other games). All of the devices on my network cannot access it, no matter what browser I'm using, including phones and tablets.

 

What will happen is that after typing in the address or clicking on a link, it will resolve the website title (makes me think it's not a DNS issue) and try to load the page. However, it takes a very very long time (at least 15 minutes) and when something appears, it is always a plaintext version (no JavaScript, images etc.).

 

I have accessed it fine from my phone when not connected to Wi-Fi, but instead using 3G. I have also been able to access it via an online proxy. This makes me think that my IP may have been blocked, although if I can load the text, then surely it isn't. Also, I can do "tracert www.nexusmods.com" and it accesses it fine. No, I live in the South of England and my ISP is Plusnet.

1. If you were I.P. banned you wouldn't be able to access the forums either and there would be a message stating that you'd been banned.

 

2. Some people have been reporting having problems getting the mod sites to load the last few days. It doesn't seem to be location based (or at least not Glasgow based as one of the staff is from there and they haven't mentioned having any problems so far). It seems to be something effecting some users and not some others. I think there have been a few cases reported from the state side of things but I can't be sure.

 

Unfortunately this doesn't seem like something we're going to be able to fix from the user end so please be patient till Dark0ne figures out what's wrong.

Still UK. there is some maintenance across UK Plusnet (same ISP here), and result is imgur and nexus suffer.

You might be right Ethreon. Imgur has been pretty slow recently for me and sometimes has stopped loading altogether. But this is usually only for about 10 minutes, not 2 days like the Nexus. We'll just wait and see. Have Plusnet said when they plan to end maintenance?

Was about to report the same problem and I'm also on plusnet. I thought I'd just try once more and now it's loading instantly.

 

Spoke too soon, back to no response again.

 

And back to working. Got a mod downloading and it's scorching it's way across the internet at 30kb/s :laugh:

Was trying to track the same issue - Plusnet, South East UK. Slow Nexus. Thanks folks, at least I know what is going on.
